We have beautiful herd of goats with ever improving udders! Of course Lactation is my occupation and my passion here on the farm. I post this breeding plan and every year unexpected things happen (a goat gets out, a doe bonds to a particular buck through the fence, I decide not to breed a pair together, or they are too immature to breed) so this plan can be an ever changing document. I will post due dates as soon as I have confirmed pregnancies.
I base my list on first come, first serve. I do not take deposits at this time, but when they deliver, I notify my list in order and if you would like a kid, I ask for a deposit of $100 at that time. My goats range in price from $450-$650. Prices vary due to milk stars, udders, conformation, then color and if they are polled. All of my kids are either polled or dis-budded after birth.
I have had some pretty bad experiences with transporting goats via lengthy ground trasport, so if you are not within driving distance of my farm, I will ask you to ship by air when the kid is 8 weeks old. I do not arrange that on my end, but can assist you in the process. I charge a $25 dollar fee on my end for transport to the airport. I also require money up front for the vet-certification to fly. If you want to arrange ground transport, you must arrange that on your end. I do not take any responsibility for the goat's health upon their arrival, as I have have them arrive sick and stressed. My absolute favorite mode of transport is in your car, or arranging rides with other breeders as they personally drive to pick up goats. I do not cover any shipping costs and I do not lower the price of the goat to accommodate shipping. I will NOT ship you a goat if there are any signs of stress on my end (loose stools, or cough, etc). They will leave my farm weaned, or on a bottle, and healthy. I prefer them to leave asap after 2 weeks on a bottle (unless by air) and at 10 weeks if dam raising. Depending on your wishes at the time of reservation.
